National Day of Mourning

April 28, 2021

Today is National Day of Mourning. This day is used to commemorate workers that have been killed, injured, or suffered illness due to the hazards and exposures within the workplace.

Canada passed the Workers Mourning Day Act on December 1990. It was officially the National Day of Mourning on April 28, 1991.

Injuries and deaths in workplaces is an ongoing issue across Canada. It is critical for every workplace to instill safety practices and regulations, hence why Altex has dedicated itself to providing the best safety programs and policies for workers to ensure they come home safe after every shift.

Workers, whether they're in the construction industry or hospitality industry, play a huge part in society. Let's take the time to remember those who have died, got injured, or got ill while working due to their dedication and commitment to their job.

Altex would like to thank all of our employees for their hard work and dedication to their job everyday. We are grateful for you.
