The Project Management Office (PMO) is a department within Altex that defines and maintains the standards for project management. The main purpose of the PMO is to ensure that projects are run in a repeatable, standardized way. It provides guidance, structure, plan and brings together all stakeholders for smooth execution of projects.

The PMO’s mandate is to continuously look for ways to improve the existing processes and change the ones that do not support our vision and mission statements.

Our Process
Phase I:
Project Initiation & Kick-off
- Review and understand the scope of work.
- Submit proposal/quote.
- Establish priorities, deadlines, objectives and risks of the project.
- Meet with internal and external stakeholders.
Phase II:
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Identify the tasks and timeline required to execute the project.
- Translate proposal into a series of actionable tasks.
- Identify critical tasks and address potential risks.
- Document processes and workflows to use.
- Create measurable short-term goals from high level project goals.
- Plot the Project Schedule.
Phase III:
Project Execution
- Turn plan into action!
- Execution starts when design is finalized, and materials are available for construction.
Phase IV:
Project Cost Control & Monitoring
- Monitor budgeted hours and costs to complete the project.
- Review the quality of the team’s output.
- Adjust and update tasks, goals, and deadlines to meet changing conditions.
- Communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
Phase V:
Project Closing
- Submit final quality documentations.
- Release team members and project resources.
- Meet for Lessons Learned.
- Analyze project performance.
